Arbitration is similar to going to court, but it is private, usually faster and less expensive than litigation, and does not involve the uncertainty of a jury. Instead of filing a lawsuit, the parties hire one or more arbitrators to manage the case, hear the evidence and make a determination that is binding.
As an arbitrator, I am committed to being of service and making sure all parties involved are aware of the many benefits that arbitration has to offer. I give the case and its relevant facts my fullest attention and apply practicality and fairness. Both sides are encouraged to agree to a case management schedule, limit discovery to what is reasonably needed, eliminate unnecessary motions, and avoid legal technicalities. These steps help ensure the ultimate goal of allowing your case to proceed smoothly and efficiently and, if not settled, to be resolved on the merits.
